The American concern General Motors has announced the launch of two large-scale service campaigns, during which more than 950,000 cars will be recalled for repairs worldwide.
The first company includes more than 550,000 light Chevrolet Silverado pickups, GMC Sierra 1500 and 2019 Cadillac CT6 sedans, which may experience problems with the brake system electronics. This defect is fraught with the fact that emergency braking systems, stabilization systems and ABS may fail on cars. A means of solving the problem will be flashing the control unit software.
The second company extends to 400,000 copies of Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups. A manufacturing defect arose here – the positive battery cables on these cars were abundantly filled with hot glue during assembly at the factory, which could cause them to overheat and cause fire. Interestingly, several such cases have already been recorded. It is worth noting that the vast majority of recallable cars were sold in the United States.
