Gelendvagen manufacturer helps the British to create a new frame SUV

Gelendvagen manufacturer helps the British to create a new frame SUV. It turned out that the project partners are the well-known company Magna Steyr. The one that produces the legendary “Gelika”

Ineos Automotive (an automotive division of a chemical company that finances the entire project) revealed that Magna Steyr is a key engineering partner in the Grenadier project – its specialists are developing a power plant and an off-road chassis. Magna-Steyr will also be responsible for bringing the design to serial condition and for putting it into production.

“The transition from the experimental development stage to the serial product stage is a major milestone in the evolution of the Grenadier. […] We chose Magna-Steyr because of its rich heritage and experience in developing four-wheel drive vehicles, ”said Derk Heilmann, director of Ineos Automotive.

It is already known that Ineos Grenadier 4×4 plans to equip with purchased engines – 6-cylinder gasoline and 3.0-liter diesel “row-cars” from BMW. Another German company, MBTech from Stuttgart, is also involved in the project as an engineering contractor.
