Geely posted the official image of the large HaoYue crossover, formerly known as VX11. The SUV will enter the local market within a year, will be available with a seven-seater saloon and a rich list of additional equipment.
The Geely press service does not disclose the technical characteristics of the new product, however, according to information from the Chinese certification body, the main parameters of the all-terrain vehicle are known. HaoYue is 4835 millimeters long, 1900 millimeters wide, 1780 millimeters high, and has a wheelbase of 2815 millimeters. This means that the flagship Geely will be comparable in size to the Toyota Highlander, the length, width and height of which are 4890, 1925 and 1720 millimeters, respectively. In the Middle Kingdom, Geely HaoYue will be sold with a “turbo-engine” 1.5 with a capacity of 177 horsepower and a “turbo-four” 1.8 with a capacity of 184 horsepower – similar power units will eventually be offered for the “Russian” Geely Atlas. Information about the type of transmission is not given, but by analogy with other models of the Chinese company, we can assume a combination of turbo engines with a 7-band “robot” and front-wheel drive.
It is expected that the HaoYue can be ordered with matrix headlights, a panoramic roof, adaptive cruise control and all-round cameras. The timeline for entering the domestic market has not yet been revealed that local media claim that the SUV will be on sale in the coming weeks.
It is possible that over time, HaoYue under a different name will be brought to Russia. This year, the launch of sales of the Coolray compact crossover updated by Atlas and the FY11 cross-coupe has been announced in our country.
