Ford Mondeo will become a cross-wagon with spring suspension

Ford

Ford does not use springs in the design of current passenger cars, but the concept itself is not new: a similar rear suspension is used by Volvo on models of the SPA platform, for example, in the cross-wagon V60 and V90 Cross Country.

According to Autocar, the new Mondeo will be sold on the European market under the same name and will retain variability in the choice of body: in addition to the cross-universal, the hatchback and the usual station wagon will remain in the range. In the North American market, a model can change its current Fusion name and only be sold with an all-terrain form factor.
