The state-owned company Avtodor will index fare on toll roads. It is expected that this will happen before the end of April next year.
“Until the end of April 2020, the state-owned company is obliged to index tariffs for the inflation rate of the previous year in accordance with the program of activities,” the Moscow agency reports citing Avtodor representatives. At the same time, the company emphasized that in January next year they do not plan to adjust fares for the sections of roads that are directly under its control.
Meanwhile, 1333 km of roads will be built in Russia before 2020, and the share of paid sections will be 47% (from 3994 km of expressways). So, in early November, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev finally approved the construction of the Moscow-Kazan toll highway, which will cost the driver approximately. The authorities plan to open the first two sections of the new highway with the M-12 index by 2024.
