Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan ride on the first Turkish-made electric car. The presentation of the model was held in the city of Gebze in the province of Bursa in the north-west of the country.

More than 100 Turkish engineers worked on the project. This is a completely domestic development, there are no foreign licenses. A new plant will be created in the Gemlik city district of Bursa province, Erdogan said.

According to him, by 2022, the infrastructure of stations for charging batteries will be ready throughout Turkey, and sales can start until 2022.
Investments in the project will amount to 22 billion dollars, the investment process will take 13 years. The initiative group “Turkish cars” plans to produce 175 thousand cars of five models per year.
On December 24, Moscow hosted the presentation of the new Russian electric car Monarch. However, the car itself was not brought to it – there were problems with logistics. At the same time, model snapshots appeared on the Web. The initial price for the Monarch sedan is 1.5 million rubles. A crossover will cost 2.5 million rubles, and an SUV – 4 million rubles.
