This year, sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) in Russia may fall by 8%. The Association of Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD) made such a forecast, Autostat reports. As for the secondary market, the organization believes that here sales will remain at the level of 2019. According to forecasts by the end of 2020, about 5.4 million vehicles will be resold in Russia.
Recall that in 2019, 1,759,532 new cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 2.3% (41.1 thousand units) less than in 2018. At the same time, the last month of last year was marked by an increase in sales by 2.3% (179 thousand cars). Thus, the Russian market for the first time showed growth after falling for eight consecutive months.
