Challenging fines through the public services portal: named date

In the spring of 2020, drivers will be able to appeal traffic fines through the public services portal. Corresponding amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses on electronic appeal of fines on Wednesday were supported by the State Duma committee on state building

The initiative was submitted to the State Duma in October 2019. It is assumed that motorists will be able to file a complaint against the decision with the court in electronic form. In this case, the court will consider the document in the event that it has such a technical possibility.

“Such a simplified procedure for appealing decisions in an administrative case will reduce the material and time costs of persons whose rights have been violated as a result of a decision in an administrative case on the basis of erroneous data received from fixing technical means,” the explanatory note to to the document. The complaint can be sent to the traffic police or the court, the applicant will also receive a response through the portal within three days.
