Designers of the Cadillac brand explained why the brand logo on Cadillac cars is not located in the middle of the grill, but in its upper part.
To reveal the secret of the asymmetric location of the badge on the radiator grille of the new models, the Cadillac Society talked with several brand designers. It turned out that the emblem is located in line with the horizontal elements of the headlights. According to the designers, the highly placed coat of arms visually combines horizontal headlights, vertical daytime running lights and direction indicators with a radiator grill into one harmonious ensemble.
As you know, the previous “Cadillacs” had vertical lighting of a simple shape, which made it possible to place the badge exactly in the center of the radiator grill. In addition, a higher position of the emblem now allowed the brand’s stylists to increase the lattice area, which is clearly visible on the Cadillac XT6 crossover, CT6 sedan and other updated models. All these nuances, according to designers, provide Cadillac with a proportional and attractive appearance.
