BMW will develop an electric sedan that can compete for buyers with the Porsche Taycan, Tesla Model S and the unreleased Audi e-tron GT. It is reported by the Italian edition Autoblog.
According to preliminary data, the new product will appear in 2024 and will be called the BMW i6. Like the Porsche Taycan, the car will be equipped with two electric motors, which will be available from several stages of forcing.
The base electric car will receive a 204-horsepower unit on the front axle and a 340-horsepower – on the rear. Thus, the total engine output will be 544 horsepower. The top version of the BMW i6 will be equipped with a pair of 340-horsepower electric motors, which in total will be able to produce 680 horsepower. Battery packs for 90 and 120 kWh will provide a range of 560 km and 700 km, respectively.
