The government is discussing measures that will help stimulate the increase in the number of electric cars in Russia
Despite the fact that only about 4,600 electric vehicles are in operation in the Russian Federation, or about 0.1% of the total fleet, this segment is gradually growing, which encourages the government to introduce incentive benefits.
At the moment, a document has already been prepared in which it is proposed to allow owners of electric vehicles in Russia to drive along the designated lanes for public transport, use parking lots equipped with chargers for free, and drive along toll roads. It is also proposed to exempt vehicle owners from electric transport tax.
