The Russian government wants to create a test laboratory based on the manufacturer of the presidential limousine Aurus, which will create an unmanned tractor
According to RIA Novosti, the cabinet has already published the relevant resolution. Next year, at NAMI’s facilities, they should organize a testing laboratory with a testing ground. It should appear by December 30, 2020. Among other things, the authorities will approve an additional provision where the requirements for unmanned tractors that they will need to fulfill in order to be allowed to operate for the testing period will be fixed.
It is curious that this is not the first unmanned tractor that was created on the territory of Russia. In mid-July, at the International Industrial Exhibition in Yekaterinburg, they presented a fully autonomous tractor without any controls. The development was carried out by a company that is part of the state corporation Roscosmos.
