Alternative approaches to the Crimean bridge will be modernized in 2020 in the Krasnodar Territory due to an increase in traffic and the introduction of paid sections on the M-4 Don highway. This was stated by TASS Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev.
“Due to the increase in traffic towards the Crimea and due to the introduction of toll areas on the federal highway, the load on regional roads has increased, so it was decided to upgrade alternative routes towards the Crimean bridge,” Kondratyev said.
“During the year we plan to build and reconstruct 35 objects – roads, bridges, overpasses and elevated pedestrian crossings. The funds of the regional road fund will be used for this, the volume of which in 2020 will amount to 32.4 billion rubles, ”the governor added.
He specified that in 2020 the authorities plan to begin construction of a road bypass of the city of Timashevsk and the village of Leningradskaya. The reconstruction of the Krasnodar-Yeysk road will begin from the border of the Dinsky and Timashevsky districts to the village of Medvedovskaya. She will become a four-lane.
In addition, as part of the formation of long-distance automobile approaches to the Kerch Bridge, a new direction will be built by 2024 – almost 120 kilometers of the Krasnodar-Slavyansk-on-Kubani-Temryuk-Novorossiysk-Kerch road. It is also planned to build transport interchanges at M-4 Don on the Krasnodar-Novorossiysk section.
