Renault-owned Alpine has produced a conceptual version of SportsX for the mid-engined A110 coupe. The prototype is inspired by the classic rally model
SportsX was built on the basis of the standard modification A110 – Pure, which weighs only 1,098 kilograms. The car was expanded with a track and wheel arches by 80 millimeters, and ground clearance was increased from 100 to 160 mm. Appearance is complemented by a two-tone body color, and on round headlights the insulating tape is glued with a cross: they used to do this on rally cars so that when damaged, the glass does not break into shards.
The rear-wheel drive A110 SportsX has a serial 1.8-liter turbo four with 252 hp. (320 N • m) and seven-speed “robot” with two clutches. The standard coupe accelerates to “hundreds” in 4.5 seconds, and its maximum speed is 250 km / h.
