The deputy head of Rosstandart Alexei Kuleshov told Izvestia about the scale of the problem in Russia. According to him, Takata pillows for 15 years were installed on cars of the largest brands, including Nissan, Toyota, Ford, Mitsubishi, Subaru, BMW, Mazda and Ford. Reviews of potentially dangerous cars with Takata spend six years, not only abroad, but also in Russia, and they cover more than 12 brands and 40-53 million cars.

Over the past few years, Rosstandart has coordinated dozens of reviews because of this defect, but many motorists have ignored them and continue to drive cars with “explosive” airbags. However, according to the interlocutor of the publication, in our country there has not yet been a single death recorded that would have occurred due to problematic air raids.
