To prevent accidents, Bosch proposes to install a camera in the steering wheel that continuously fixes the driver’s gaze and the rotation of his head. If the system determines that a person is distracted, it will give a signal, and in critical cases it will slow down. Thus, drivers will become more responsible and will no longer be distracted by extraneous factors, including smartphones.
The functionality of the system can be expanded by increasing the number of cameras: for example, place additional sensors on or under the rear view mirror. This will allow you to monitor the condition of not only the driver, but also passengers, including in the second row.
